Nick Farris

Nick Farris’ ingenuity and experience in data analytics has allowed him to develop a unique expertise in identifying and evaluating healthcare markets for medical office, senior living, ambulatory surgical centers, urgent care clinics, freestanding emergency centers, dental office, veterinarian office, Short Term Acute Care Hospitals, LTACHs, Rehabilitation Hospitals, Psychiatric Hospitals, and many others. This includes developing methodologies, tools, and reports to underwrite hospital bed need, physician needs assessment, senior living demand, leasing strategies, proactive site selection, and many other elements of market feasibility.

Nick has an extensive background in consulting and market analysis for health care real estate and senior living assets. He has functioned in advisory roles nationally with hundreds of developers, hospitals, health systems, healthcare REITs, and medical operators since 2006. He has been recognized as an industry expert in healthcare analytics and has been a panelist and speaker at medical real estate conferences to share his insight. Nick’s philosophy is to take a proactive approach to market evaluation using metrics specific to patient base healthcare propensities along with, or rather than the general demographic data utilized in most industries.

Prior to MedCore, Nick was a founding member of Inovar Partners, a boutique medical real estate consulting firm, focused on market feasibility and analysis. With Inovar he led business development efforts as well as consulting, training, and strategic planning for healthcare real estate clients. His efforts included conducting presentations and crafting advanced analytic reports to assist his clients in raising capital, executing acquisitions, sizing medical facilities, and providing credibility and analytical backing for medical real estate projects in excess of $750M.

Nick previously served as Vice President of Market Analysis with Montecito Research & Analytics, the research division of Montecito Medical Investment Corporation. With Montecito he utilized his expertise and creativity to help re-engineer how the healthcare industry approached asset acquisition, development, and management. During his time at Montecito, he helped provide direct real estate investments on behalf of large institutional clients such as ING Clarion, CalPERS, Harrison Street, Merrill Lynch, and Buchanan Street Partners and played a vital role in underwriting the acquisition of over $500M of healthcare assets across the United States in just three years.

Nick is a graduate of Texas Christian University and he and his wife Callan have two daughters, Denver and Indy, and a son, Northcutt (Nory).
